It's the Last Week for Plant Sale Pre-Orders!

Seedlings for the plant sale are nearly ready for your gardens!
Farm Update

The big cherry tree at the farm is in bloom and literally buzzing with activity as the bees drink it's nectar. The rest of the farm feels a similar way!  We are busy working through the long to-do list, nearly buzzing from task to task.  The workload may be high right now, but it feels wonderful to see spring really take off.

We had completed some field prep in advance of the weekend rain, and thankful that we did!  Now that we are stuck waiting for it to dry out enough to continue, we are working on changing more of our hoophouses over to summer fruiting crops.  Last week we finally planted some peppers that were delayed a few weeks from their planting date.  Another small crew came in on the weekend too to turnover and plant the first few beds of tomatoes in Hoophouse 3.

We begin sending out plants for our plant sale next week and we are working on potting up the last few seedlings.  We are really happy with how everything looks this year.  If you haven’t yet:
This is the week to get last minute plant orders in!

The cherry tree smells amazing!

FARM STORE NOTES

Things to note from us:

Cucumbers are here!  After a long wait we are finally harvesting.  We're proud to say our cucumbers have turned more than a few people (including some farm workers) into cucumber lovers.

Spring Kale has sprung!  This is the new spring growth on our kale plants that overwintered in the field.  Extra sweet and tender, it's here for a short time every year.

Spicy salad mix (lettuce and mustards) and Salad Mix (lettuce only) are both on this week.

From storage: carrots, red cabbage, kohlrabi, daikon.
